Theme 1

Swap returns and forced INAD returns

On Depop, a seller says a returned shirt came back with a ruined logo and a different, bumpy knit. Depop's check found no issue. The top replies (56 and 24 upvotes) say it looks like the buyer kept the original and sent back a knock-off [1]. An eBay seller's…

Do this week. Before shipping anything you'd hate to lose, photograph identifying details (tags, serials, flaws), and film the unboxing of every return. For small INR claims on eBay, refund before eBay steps in so you don't take a case strike.
Theme 2

Depop's shipping change and carrier surprise fees

Depop sellers are reacting to an email saying they can no longer arrange their own shipping (90 comments) [1]. Sellers who used their own labels and insurance for high-value items are worried. One says they sell items over $300 and expects to lose seller…

Do this week. Depop sellers: read the actual email and Depop's terms on protection limits before your next high-value listing, and check each listing's weight tier. Ship FedEx in plain cardboard only, and never reuse a flat-rate box for a different service.

The daily brief

Up to six themes a day, ranked by how much people are discussing them: returns abuse and INAD claims, account holds, fees and payouts, counterfeits, shipping losses, lowballs and slow sales.

Why it matters + what to do

Each theme ends with one practical step you can take this week. No hype, no guesswork presented as fact, and rumors labelled as rumors.

Sources on every line

Every point links to the public threads it came from, so you can read the original before you act. Plus a searchable archive and a weekly deep-dive.

Stallwire tells you what's going wrong and what's changing. It complements research, listing and analytics tools; it doesn't replace them.

Questions

FAQ

What is Stallwire?

A daily brief for people who sell online. We launch one edition at a time. Etsy & print-on-demand is live now; eBay & resale (Poshmark, Mercari, Depop) is next, then Amazon FBA. Every morning, we scan the public discussions on Reddit for your platform, group the complaints and problems into themes, and summarize what's happening, why it matters to a small business and one practical thing to do. Every point links to the original public thread.

How accurate are the summaries?

Summaries are written with AI from the source posts, and the sample issues on the website were also checked line by line by an editor. Summaries can still be wrong or reflect one person's experience. That's why every point links to its source threads. Read them before you act.

What happens when my 7-day trial ends?

Nothing is charged automatically, because we never asked for a card. From day 8 the daily brief stops. To keep it, add a card from the link in any email or on the website: $17/month, cancel anytime. If you don't join, you'll get a few short reminder emails and then a weekly "what you missed" note for up to 8 weeks. You can stop those anytime with the one-click unsubscribe link.

Do I need a credit card to try it?

No. The trial takes only your name and email. You only enter payment details if you choose to keep the brief after your trial.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Use the "Manage billing" link in any email or on your account page. That opens the Stripe customer portal, where you can cancel in two clicks. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.

Do you offer refunds?

If you're unhappy within 7 days of your first payment, reply to any brief or email the support address and we'll refund it in full. After that, cancelling stops future charges, and we don't prorate partial months or years.
