The morning brief for Etsy & print-on-demand sellers

Theme 1

Reviews, returns & cases

The busiest thread: a seller sent a free replacement for a sticker the buyer said never arrived. Tracking showed it out for delivery on October 9. The buyer now wants a refund and is threatening a credit-card chargeback [1]. Replies say to steer lost-parcel…

Do this week. For lost-in-transit claims with tracking, point the buyer to opening a case rather than re-shipping at your cost. On any listing where size matters, make photo 2 a real in-hand or scale shot.
Theme 2

AI imagery is becoming a buyer-trust problem

On the buyer side (r/Etsy), people say they skip shops that use AI backgrounds [1] and are asking Etsy to label AI-generated products [2]. One commenter says Etsy told them 'restrictions are coming'. That's unconfirmed, so treat it as a rumor. On the seller…

Do this week. Audit the first two photos on your top 10 listings. Replace AI-generated scenes with real photos, or disclose them clearly. Watch Etsy's official policy pages, not forum rumors, for any rule change.

Why it matters + what to do

Each theme ends with one practical step you can take this week. No hype, no guesswork presented as fact, and rumors labelled as rumors.

Sources on every line

Every point links to the public threads it came from, so you can read the original before you act. Plus a searchable archive and a weekly deep-dive.

Questions

FAQ

What is Stallwire?

A daily brief for people who sell online. We launch one edition at a time. Etsy & print-on-demand is live now; eBay & resale (Poshmark, Mercari, Depop) is next, then Amazon FBA. Every morning, we scan the public discussions on Reddit for your platform, group the complaints and problems into themes, and summarize what's happening, why it matters to a small business and one practical thing to do. Every point links to the original public thread.

How accurate are the summaries?

Summaries are written with AI from the source posts, and the sample issues on the website were also checked line by line by an editor. Summaries can still be wrong or reflect one person's experience. That's why every point links to its source threads. Read them before you act.

What happens when my 7-day trial ends?

Nothing is charged automatically, because we never asked for a card. From day 8 the daily brief stops. To keep it, add a card from the link in any email or on the website: $17/month, cancel anytime. If you don't join, you'll get a few short reminder emails and then a weekly "what you missed" note for up to 8 weeks. You can stop those anytime with the one-click unsubscribe link.

Do I need a credit card to try it?

No. The trial takes only your name and email. You only enter payment details if you choose to keep the brief after your trial.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Use the "Manage billing" link in any email or on your account page. That opens the Stripe customer portal, where you can cancel in two clicks. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.

Do you offer refunds?

If you're unhappy within 7 days of your first payment, reply to any brief or email the support address and we'll refund it in full. After that, cancelling stops future charges, and we don't prorate partial months or years.
